EFE is the world’s largest Spanish-language international news agency. Founded in 1939, EFE’s award-winning photojournalists have candidly captured and documented some of the most iconic and emblematic events and personalities of recent history, from dictators to kings to narcotraffickers, star-studded moments, political turmoil, and human tragedies.

Presented by MOAD, Viewpoints: Photographs from the EFE Archive comprises a collection of striking and impactful images that were donated to the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives. This selection of photographs aims to provide new perspectives on controversial or celebrated characters, places, and events, opening the eyes of audiences to perhaps unfamiliar moments of international, American, and Hispanic culture and history.

This exhibition is sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture; the Florida Council on Arts and Culture; and the National Endowment for the Arts; and with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, and the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
