Join MOAD and Kinetic Kickoff for a family event welcoming our neurodivergent community. Enjoy a morning of art, movement, and sensory-friendly activities that encourage creativity and connection. This new event series is designed for families of children, teenagers, and young adults who are neurodivergent, on the autism spectrum and their families.<\/p>\n
Enjoy art-making activities inspired by works from the Languages of Migration<\/em> and La abstracci\u00f3n como legado<\/em> including \u201cBuild Your Chim\u00fa Monkey\u201d. Galleries in the museum will be modified throughout the event to create a supportive environment. Guest artist Lucia Morales will lead \u201cTrenzas,\u201d an immersive activity inviting participants to explore texture and movement through collaborative braiding. Thinking of our visitors\u2019 different needs, we will also provide a resting area for guests who need a break during the event.<\/p>\n This event is free<\/strong> and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n Event attendees may park for at MDC\u2019s Parking Lot 1 located on the south side of the Freedom Tower between NE 5th<\/sup> St and NE 6TH<\/sup> St.<\/p>\n The Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) at MDC may document the event, including its attendees.
