The first exhibition dedicated to Tarafa\u2019s photography, <em>Remaking Miami <\/em>includes thirty posthumous prints, made from photographs in an archive of approximately one hundred and fifty original images, now held by the Lydia Cabrera Papers at the Cuban Heritage Collection of the University of Miami Libraries.<\/p>\n<p><em>Remaking Miami: Josefina Tarafa\u2019s Photographs of the 1970s<\/em> is curated by Jos\u00e9 Antonio Navarrete and organized by the Cuban Legacy Gallery, part of MDC Special Collections at the Freedom Tower, in collaboration with the Lydia Cabrera Papers, Cuban Heritage Collection, University of Miami Libraries, Coral Gables. The prints were produced in collaboration with MDC Special Collections. MDC Special Collections\u2019 programs are made possible with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
