Another is the value of art and the aesthetic for repairing democratic social life. She is the author of\u00a0<em>Performance Anxieties:<\/em>\u00a0<em>Staging Psychoanalysis, Staging Race<\/em>\u00a0(Routledge,1997); co-author, with Janet R. Jakobsen, of\u00a0<em>Love the Sin: Sexual Regulation and the Limits of Religious Tolerance<\/em>\u00a0(NYU Press, 2003; Beacon Press, 2004); and co-author, with Michael\u00a0Bronski\u00a0and Michael Amico, of\u00a0<em>\u201cYou Can Tell Just By Looking\u201d and 20 Other Myths about LGBT Life and People<\/em>\u00a0(Beacon Press, 2013).\u00a0<em>\u201cYou Can Tell Just\u00a0<\/em><em>By<\/em><em>\u00a0Looking\u201d<\/em>\u00a0was a finalist for the 2014 Lambda Literary Award for Best LGBT Non-Fiction. She has also published two anthologies:\u00a0<em>Queer Theory and the Jewish Question<\/em>, co-edited with Daniel\u00a0Boyarin\u00a0and Danial\u00a0Itzkovitz\u00a0(Columbia University Press, 2003); and\u00a0<em>Secularisms<\/em>, co-edited with Janet R. Jakobsen (Duke University Press, 2008). Pellegrini co-edits the Sexual Cultures Series at New York University Press with Joshua Chambers-Letson\u00a0and\u00a0Tavia\u00a0Nyong\u2019o. She is currently completing a new book on \u201cqueer structures of religious feeling.\u201d She is a professor in the Department of Performance Studies at New York University.<\/p>\n<p>Ann Pellegrini&#8217;s lecture\u00a0&#8220;Excess &amp; Enchantment: Arts of Resistance&#8221; is part of <em>Living Together<\/em><em>, <\/em>curated by Rina Carvajal, MOAD\u2019s Executive Director and Chief Curator, and independent curator Joseph R.
