Goizueta, curator at the McMullen Museum of Art; and artist and author C\u00e9sar E. Trasobares will discuss <em>The Lost Generation: Women Ceramicists and the Cuban Avant-Garde<\/em>,<em> Carlos Alfonzo: Late Paintings<\/em>, and<em> Juan Francisco Elso: Essays on Ame\u0301rica<\/em>. Each title shifts perspectives and offers new approaches to understanding modern and contemporary art, addresses the ways in which artists function both outside and inside the art historical canon, and mines the lingering influences of place and time.<\/p>\n<p>Presented in Partnership with the Miami Book Fair at Miami Dade College.<\/p>\n<p>The Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) at MDC may document the event, including its attendees.
